Does anyone know how to determine if the pump on a 4020 (same as 4010, 3020, etc) is bad or not. I had the pully break that runs the water pump and alternator as well as connects to the pump drive coupler. i don't know what caused the pully to break (it broke out one of the threaded taps where the coupler pins screw into.) When the one threaded taps broke out, the coupler seperated and fell out (more like flew out and put a hole in the radiator). Given it broke out, I'm wondering if the pump could have malfunctioned. Using a 12 inch bar, I can turn the pump. Accordingly, the pump is not locked up, but may have something not working properly. If anyone out there is familar with the pump or the problem i had, i would be greatful. Thanks.
