thanks guys. i have the gas model quite comparable to this one in original condition but was keeping an eye out for a diesel. the middle age guy gave me the endless belt about 50 ft. he said his father and grandfather used to make chop with this tractor, and it had a post pounder on the front before. i looked at the drawbar and the hole is round and small so appears like it was not used much with implements. the shed roof was good where it sat as i checked that out too. other side was full of holes. pipe was covered so another bonus. and yes no calcium in rear rims. is that what they call double bevel rims? all 4 wheels were sunk like that and the frozen ground was a bonus when jacking it out. i was surprised the brakes were not seized either. has fuel in the tank another bonus. the engine appears stuck but i will steam off the tractor today and get it in the shop. then remove glow plugs and give it some medicine. probably be hybernating all winter. ooh and it has the triangle stamp on the serial # plate like my gas 1958 model. i presume ihc had his brg. problem all fixed by 1960 ?
