Bought a really nice model steam engine at an antique market several years ago. The market was about an hour from home. Cost me $800, but I only had $300 on me. Asked the guy if he'd hold it and I'd bring the money to his house (which was an hour the other direction) the following day. I was wearing a t-shirt with a steam engine that day. The more we talked, he said he'd take my money & said to take the engine home, and gave me a business card & said to send the rest of the money the following day by mail. Wrote out a check when I got home and was in the mailbox the next morning.
