Went on Facebook market place to place an ad to sell a brush hog and disk. Saw an ad for 2 brand new Firestone tires and tubes on cub rims for my wife's purple cub. $200. Great deal. Came home with the whole darn cub. $500. Was running 2 days ago. Guy said he thought it was so ugly no one would buy it so he was parting it out. Had taken a bunch of parts off. Starter, distributor, hydraulic pump and lines, draw bar, carb and manifold. All the linkage rods. Everything was laying on the tail gate of his truck about to tag it and put it in inventory. I called just in time to save it!! Very nice sheet metal. Fenders are in great shape. Seat was rotten off.... He gave us a different one. And I found a tire on a rim for $50 in one of his barns. For the purple cub. Good afternoon!!
I bet it's back together and running tomorrow. Gotta figure out how to time the distributor....... I've bought several things from this guy before. He has more cub stuff than I've ever seen. Good fellow. My dad has decided he is going to buy this cub from me! Lol. As long as he leaves it to me in the will!!
