I have a 1949 Model A John Deere. It has been restored. New paint, all leaks fixed, etc. actually was in really bad shape when we bought it. Put a ton of money into it to restore it. Runs fine, hydraulic 3point works everything like that. My only problem is when i push it to full throttle on the lever it sounds like its only running a little over half throttle. In other words i think im not getting full throttle power. I do think it is a governor issue but i am relatively new to the JD classics. I am wondering how to adjust my governor to get full power or adjust throttle linkage or do i need to just adjust carb to get full power. Like i said as it is now when i push to what should be full throttle it feels and sounds like im only running maybe half or so power that it should be.
