Today I attended a farm sale south of Osceola,MO..It was a beautiful sunny Fall day with the temperature in the mid 60's....There was a real nice crowd for a Tuesday sale...The sale was over in a little over 3 hours. This nice 2008 JD 7130 tractor with loader sold for $56,000...It had 5080 one owner hours.. The 2001 JD 7210 tractor with 4302 hours sold for $44,000. The 1980 JD 4440 with duals and 5100 hours sold for $26,000.. The 2510 JD diesel tractor sold for $10,000..A nice JD 148 loader not pictured went with it.. The JD 4010 gas sold for $3,000...It needed a little minor work to run.. The 3020 JD diesel with bad engine sold for $2,000..The weights beside it sold for $30. The JD 300 gas tractor with backhoe and loader sold for $1250...It needed minor work to run..
The 1983 JD 6620 combine with no heads sold for $7,500....It had RWA and 3600 hours. The JD 643 corn head on it sold for $1,500. The JD 218 grain platform sold for $1,200. The header cart sold for $2,200. Heres a view from the sale site looking east over the valley...Its very scenic in this area..This was once a dairy farm. Whats left of the old Union one room school was at the entrance to the sale...Two desks from it sold for $65.00..

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
