Try back during the second week of December when things slow down again at the DMV. Your DMV is probably swamped right now: this is a holiday week were they will be shut down for two days; staff is likely short handed as many people take vacation time during holiday weeks; and this is right before the end of the month too, the busiest times for DMVs. A triple whammy for sure.
