The black squeeze bulb is for lubing speedo heads when the needle goes nuts. The oil in the kit was red, maybe the same as marvel myst. oil, just fill the tool, slide it on the speedo head and squeeze.
The other tool is not necessarily an approved tool. Some cars were about impossible to get the cable off the head so I built this cheater to give the cable a shot or two of grease from the bottom.
