I have had my Erskine just like the picture for about 50 years. I believe it was built in 1948 or 49. It is on my 8N and works great. Cleans the snow down to about 1 inch or less from the driveway. Packing snow with the tractor is NOT a problem. I think I replaced 1 Pillow block bearing (uses 2) many years ago. Living in Minnesota for awhile and in South Dakota, I have seen a lot of snow. Yes wet snow does not work well even with many other types.
