What tends to be forgotten or not known is corn belt guys like using chisel plows as rippers and out west like were I am at and Rusty we tend to use them like cultivators. We pulled 26ft with our 5010 and later 5020. Used the standard 16" sweeps shallow cultivation just deep enough to undercut the weeds and leave the stubble on top. If I was to use spikes on that same plow and drop it down to 8" or more it would stop the 5020 dead in its tracks. 100 series plows were popular behind 820s and 830s.
