Very cold for Alabama. Didn't get above freezing today. Covered up our collard greens, kale and broccoli. Most winters it's not an issue, but already had several nights at 17-18° and it ain't our cold months yet. Got the new to us burnt cub in the rust garden. Got a bunch of good parts off it. Won't hurt to sit there if we need anything else from it. Bought a 6 ft Mahindra rotary mower that was outside the barn that the cub was in. It burnt the paint off and melted half the tail wheel, but still had gear oil in it. I offered $50......he said $300... I said no thanks. Just before we left with the cub he said $100? Uhhhhh. Yes! Hooked it to the ford 851 when we got home and it works great. I've been looking for one, never thought I would get one that cheap.
Our dog has the right idea, lay by the fire! Never got above freezing today in Alabama.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
