There are heart and cancer issues in my family. I breath deeply as I think of it. Empty your lungs and breath in, keep your nostrils open and inhalate as able. Expand your lungs and if you are able to control the out flow,do so slowly as able allow your breath to escape all the way and totally empty your lungs. Exercise breathing the same as walking the dog. The efficiency with which we are able to breath allows us to feed our anatomy with air and oxygen and to feed our cell structure with a necessary component, oxygen. Hey ho hum me oh my, I've been fooling people into thinking I can pound a nail somewhat where they want it for a few years, an't no doc but logic says cut down on the volume of mass your trying to take care of. We eat a lot of carbs and stuff that takes a fair bit of time to digest all the time working our system. I like to eat and therefore eat what goes through quickly, ergo cut back on carbs and heavy protein.
