Tractordata shows the 856 at 94 PTO hp. My MF 1105 dynos at 118 hp and with a 9ft Krone disc mower conditioner with impellers in tall/heavy first cut grass get along easy at 7 mph. Any faster and the ride gets to bumpy.
I think you’d be OK with a 10ft machine, but a 9ft would probably be a better fit in heavy hay unless the 856 is turned up.
