I had a live hydraulic setup on our MD by just running a belt over top of the fan belt and the pump mounted on the right side of the tractor. Dad didn't like the wear on the top of the fan belt and took it off. It worked good for lifting the mower in hay. I put the tank on top of the fuel tank mad tear drop shaped so it fit right under the steering shaft. Elbow out the right side and the bracket on the right side light tree inside the right light. 3/4 hose from tank to pump. I used a piece of window screen slipped over the end of the pipe fitting the return hose went on for a filter with the hose slipped over the screen on the pipe. Then the hoses from the valve back to the rear. I think I slipped the hoses under the seat bracket then put the couplers on them. Kept the hoses out of the way and not falling down into things. They ran right down the front of the dash so to speak along the light switch and by the shift lever on the right side didn't bother with the light switch or the shift lever. Amp gauge was partially covered.
