I bought a cheap one from Harbor Freight a few years ago after the governor weights "blew" in my Allis D-17.
Using it and four different homemade "retrievers" I was able to get all the "shrapnel" out of the engine without removing the timing cover which would have entailed removing the front of the tractor.
Well worth the 70 bucks it cost just for that one use. The ones that utilize a phone are the way to go now.
