The later model 5 series gas combines had electric fuel pumps. When the camshaft lobe for the fuel pump got a little wear on it the fuel pump could not suck gas up to the engine at idle and cranking speeds. It did OK at speed but not at idle. I had to put an electric pump on a 105 I had because of this.
