My disc history. Had an AC, maybe 2300? 13' Was a good disc. Traded it for an Athens 15'. That was a good disc. Moved up to a used 26' JD. I can't remember the model. It looked like new, and did a very good job. But the bearings started going. That was the weak spot. They were nothing more than a standard "greasable" ball bearing in flangettes. {Which seldom take grease like they're supposed to] Based on my good experience with the Athens, the JD was traded for a new 26' Athens, w/baskets. That was a good disc, except for a major flaw. The leveling mechanism was no heavier than it was on the 15'. They replaced it after it folded in half. I was scared of it. I looked at CaseIH "turbo till", and Landoll "VT". I went with the Landoll. This should last me!
