Dad and I had a Kewanee flat fold disk bought new in 1976. Ridged and was a rock magnet. Get rock between blades and it would catch on standard and stop that gang. Traded that off and bought black gang JD 230 disk. I thought it did good job but the bolts holding standards to rectangular tube would first stretch than come loose. More than once brought it home with chain holding gang up. Since 1996 have Krause rock flex disk. Better than my previous disks. Dad always said you should have field cultivator small enough to pull at 6 mph even if you do not go that fast and disk big enough so operator cannot pull too fast or deep.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
