I have a 1990 W150 ( 4x4 ) that I bought new. It is over 300,000 miles and still going. kind of tired. low oil pressure but still runs good. The only thing that i have done to the engine is change out a bad water pump. All other externals, starter, genny, still original Rebuilt transfer case once. Also 2001 1500 two wheel drive. 170,000 miles. I have done absolutely NOTHING to it but brakes. Also bought new. Both 318. If I ever need another PU it will be a RAM.
