A few months ago I asked this question of a guy I know who frequently brings tractors ( MH's ) and trucks into Maine from Quebec. He said that he has only ever been required to show a bill of sale and to provide proof of his identity. It would probably be worth a call to the customs office on both sides to avoid sitting at the boarder. John
