Farmall 100 oil level

I keep the oil level on my newly aquired Farmall 100 between the fill and add marks, measured when engine is cold and has been sitting all night.
Small amounts of oil leak out from the dipstick tube when the engine is running. Is this normal? I was wondering if I dont have the correct dipstick. How many inches from the FULL mark to the end of the cover that is part of the dipstick (the end of cover closest to the full mark)?
The leakage is not excessive, but annoying after degreasing the engine, only to find oil dribbling down the oil pan again
