I bought this tractor new in June of 2014 This is said to be a 135hp tractor. I paid $119,000.00 Canadian dollars for this tractor as it stands in the picture with Deluxe cab and loader 4wd. I now have just over 2400 hours on the clock. Tractor works great only had to spend $ on maintenance, and use it all year around.. I have one more much like it and two years newer, but I also have 5 tractors that are over 50 years old that get a lot of work during spring , summer and fall. The cost per hp isn’t a very accurate way to measure the cost of owning a tractor. The true measure is how much can you earn and profit from owning the tractor. Also will you be able to keep working longer if you have dust free air conditioning/heated cab. Or will you quit working sooner because you can no longer handle the stress of working in the elements. If you can afford and want a newer tractor with a cab, and can save on income taxes by buying it also, you would be crazy to go without, just so you can send more $$ into the government

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
