I was working in an electric motor shop in town at that time. Was working on a vacuum pump unit for a local egg processor when the news came over the shop radio. We had heard a larger plane go over but didn't pay much attention as local airport only few miles away, not that unusual but did sound a little big for going to the airport. When I got home from work Dad had seen the plane, thought it was way too big and low as well. Turned out to be the plane that went down in Somerset county, flight 93. Not all that far away where it went in at, less than an hour by car, probably only minutes in a plane. Also our county 911 center got most of the calls that came from passengers I'm told.
