First question: I haven't a clue. Second question: Are you sure it's not getting TOO hot? If so, you're lucky if it's stopping before serious damage. If it's stalling with a spit and sputter at normal operating temp, you may have a fuel supply problem. As I recall, fuel system is gravity feed. Are you sure the fuel line is not partially stopped up? Bowl screen clogged maybe? The line may be able to support engine idle but not a rev'ed, loaded engine. Does it restart after a short rest? If it's stopping like you switched it off, it's probably an ingnition problem. Does it restart easily when cooled off? Check for a circuit breaker in the ignition circuit. Backtrack for voltage from your distributor hot wire to the battery immediately after it stops. It's also possible the ingnition coil is opening up when warm. As a last resort, check the high tension wire between the coil and distributor cap by relacing it with a new one or a piece of baling wire.
