I do a good job with changing oil an oil filters on a regular basis. OnStar sends me an email monthly with a half dozen things they check, even tell me when its time to change oil. This is a free service while car is under warranty. I use the trip odometer to remind me when it's the to change oil in truck and old Buick. I rely on hour meter and write on oil and hydraulic filters when last changed. What about the little things? What reminds you to change the gas filter? I my case, the terramite wouldn't start. I can't remember the last time I changed the gas filter. air filter or spark plugs. BTY it appears my 17 year old gas tank appears to be rusting. Inside of filter is red.. I used a sharpie and wrote myself a reminder when I replaced the filter. Good thing I had ordered an air filter. spark plug and fuel filter about 6 months ago and they were sitting on the shelf next to the tractor and I didn't spend half day looking for them. So what little things have you over looked and found out when the tractor wouldn't start?

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule.
