I like texting because it most often does not require an interruption to what I'm doing at the moment like a phone call does. Or I can't hear the phone, you can still get a message thru. Normally I will reply to a text within the hour. Texting can also supply info more accurately like addresses or phone numbers, so I don't have to find something to write it down. That said, if I get into a 3 or 4 text exchange its time for a call. Some people are better at it than others. Stick to one subject and be brief. My wife is terrible at it. She uses voice to text, and then rambles on so the text is bigger than my screen! I told her if what you need is not in the first line I'm ignoring it. Get to the point.
