My first truck was a 1970 C-20 camper special. I bought it for $500 when I was 16. I still have it. Did a quick rust repair and paint, drove it for about 3-4 years and decided to do it right. I dismantled the truck, got started then life happened. 30 years later I am getting serious on a proper rebuild. I ordered new complete floor pans for the cab and bed recently. The frame has been sandblasted and painted. One problem is that I am finding it impossible to pick a color for the truck. I am not after a restoration but a nice driver. I mocked up an NV3500 5spd but want to find an NP833 4spd so I have overdrive with no need to have a hydraulic clutch and able to keep the 4.11 gears. I figure I should be driving it by this time next year, Lord willing.
