We had a 674 Diesel utility with 18.4x30 rear tires, a very good tractor but they only came with the slow speed transmission and we always found that 2nd Lo was too slow and 3rd Lo was too fast to bale or chop corn in heavy crops and it was slow on the road in 4th Hi but would pull a heavy load up a hill. Dad only kept it a year and traded for a 684 with T/A. The 684 had same 18.4x30 rear tires and the medium speed transmission but with the T/A that also gave an extra gear in between gears for heavy crops. My brother still has the 684. According to my brother the 18.4x30 tires are not as common as the 16.9x30 tires are are much more $$.
