Bolt right in, the back of the 3, 4 and 6 engines are basically the same all the way through. What 268 are you looking at? BSD444 with the webbed block?
I often wonder why Ford made some many different combos on the 3 and 4 cylinder engines. The 6 cylinder was 401 cubes with 4.4 bore and stroke only. The others had Almost every combination of 4.2/4.4 bore and 4.2/4.4 stroke
First 5000 had a 233, 4.2 bore and stroke, later ones had 256, 4.4 bore 4.2 stroke, then the 268 was 4.4 bore and stroke.
