Now that you found it, it will probably be clogged with sediment.
If it is not, someone has already cleaned it out or it has been meticulously maintained!
If the coolant was rusty, it still needs to be flushed. If you can temporary the radiator back in would be the best. Remove the thermostat, hang the garden hose in, open the drain cocks, let it run at throttle until the water runs clear.
Then let it drain, reinstall the thermostat.
When you drain the gear cases, there will probably be water emulsified into the oil, and will take several days to all drip out. You can flush it with some diesel if you like. The water gets in from condensation and bad shifter boots.
The recommended oil is MF Spec. M-1110. I'm guessing about 8 gallons.
A shop manual will be a valuable investment. A real hard copy you can carry to the shop and have in front of you when you need it. It will more than pay for itself in mistakes not made!
