Per a conversation from Tuesday with an implement parts man their items are in short supply or not available as well. Some farmers have procrastinated on getting their planter ready for spring and now find themselves in a position that no repair parts are immediately available and no firm date on shipment. An implement I ordered for March 1 delivery is not slated for a mid-May build date with no guarantees. The supply chain on many things shut down with the Covid pandemic. Trailer dealers tell me the same thing. I am interested in upgrading; one dealer said no trailers for eight to nine months and another said no new trailers from the manufacturer for him until 2022. With that in mind maybe we should be lucky that the food chain does not shut down for 8 months to a year.
