Well, George, it's pretty clear the OEMs consider hybrids to be an interim step and that pure EVs are the end game. Which is not to say we won't have hybrids around for a long time, but at a certain point the scales will tip to EVs and that's all that will be built. You might think hybrids are the best of both worlds, but maybe they're the worst of both worlds. They're more expensive to build, and all that extra hardware makes them heavier than a pure EV or ICEV. OEMs have pretty much quit making sedans because they can't sell them; likewise they won't make hybrids if they can't sell them. GM ended production of its excellent Volt hybrid two years ago after a fairly brief production run.
I'm not going to question your assumptions or check your math. I'll only point you to the same study I posted on your last EV thread which compares the lifetime CO2 emissions for battery EVs, hybrids and ICEVs. It turns out they all generate a lot of carbon, they just do it at different times and places.
The simple fact is that engineers have taken the internal combustion engine about as far as they can. All the low-hanging economy and emissions fruit was picked long ago, further improvements will be increasingly costly. It's going to be difficult for internal combustion engines to keep pace with future improvements in battery and electric motor technology.

Rollins, son of the landowner, used the tractor. In the winter 1985, while in his possession the engine block cracked and was unrepairable. He had told my father
