I can't leave this hanging out here to be archived. The 880 and 1600 had the same displacement. The 265s were diesels. The gas was a smaller displacement. When the 1600 came out, buyers were complaining that the gassers didn't have as much power as their old 880s, so Oliver put larger pistons in them. If anybody complained to a dealer, Oliver would pay dealers to upgrade the early ones to the larger bore at no cost to the owner.
As far as the Case VS Oliver thing, if the 830 was a Comfort King, it might be a draw, but the early ones that you have to sit down inside of, straddling everything, you'd be begging to have the Oliver back if you had used the Oliver first.
