Thanks guys. I figured that connector assembly could be separated, and figured that was good injuneering so one could buy just the replacement end and not a whole new harness assembly. Silly me! Still have to get an entire harness - or pay an awful lot for the one part you DO need (a pigtail assembly).
Wife suggested I just twine it up, so looks like I'll be getting out the zip ties. Wouldn't even mess with that but we have 20+ miles of rough gravel roads to drive on.
