I'm a tool and die maker and maintenance machinist by trade. This means I run into lots of broken bolts! Some times something so simple can become very difficult ! I took a look at that tool, looks to me if you could get a bolt out with it you could even better by other methods. If you are sure the bolt is not rusted or bottomed out (the latter is bad), try penatrating oil a hammer and punch counterclockwize. Next try the easy-out ( I like the square type), making sure hole is centered . Use a punch and center drill, then drill proper size. Next go with the left hand drill. You can try some heat along with these methods. If you still can't get it out it is probably rusted or bottomed ,time to get serious! You can drill it the size as if you were tapping it from scratch ( important to be centered), if done properly you will leave the threads. Next you can put a plug in it, this has an ID the size of the bolt needed and an OD about 2 or 3 sizes larger. You drill and tap for the ODand install the plug with permanant locktite. Brand new threads! You can get an assortment of plugs from any industral supply ( MSC, Macmaster-Carr, W.W. Granger). And that ladies and gentlemen are the steps for broken bolt removal / repair.
