The 494A JD corn planter sold for $200...Dad bought a new 494A in 1964 and it was the first decent corn planter that he ever owned...It made us lots of money. I bought the closest two 20.8x38 Firestone tires for $310 each...The other one sold for $170...These tires will either go on my 1466 IH Hot Stock puller or my 1456 IH thats sitting with no rear tires....I ended up buying another 20.8x38 with a tube for $110...That meant that I could not haul them all on my Ford Ranger so had to go home and get the pickup and gooseneck trailer....On the way home with the Ranger I stopped at a friends place south of Eve,MO and bought two 75 lb IH weights for my 1466 IH puller.
The two closet like new 12.4x38 tires sold for $280 each...The like new 13.6x38 rear tires behind them sold for $380 each..A nice pair of 16.9x34's with rims sold for $350 each...A new 14.9x24 sold for $100.
Heres some other prices... JD 466 baler $2,500 NH 688 baler sold for $2,800 750 JD diesel tractor with mower sold for $4,300 JD #68 auger wagon sold for $425...I gave the guy a bolt to pull it home with as his hitch pin was too big. JD 567 baler $5,200 NH hay 258 rake $1,300 JD disc mower $4,900 Two JD 5x16 plows $150 each.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
