I have an extremely steep yard around my house. House is built into a hill. Have a 10 foot ceiling on the lower level and you still have to walk down a few steps from the deck to get to the yard. That is how steep it is. But it makes for beautiful homes and interesting landscapes. The first year we lived here I had a Cub Cadet zero turn with the two levers. No way could I mow anywhere close to crossways. Gravity would just take over. The hydro's on each wheel would hold, but the wheels would loose traction and slide until it was pointing straight down hill. To mow a steep section you just had to aim the mower from the top of the slope. I said enough was enough and started researching the Cub Cadet zero turn with the steering wheel. Decided I would demo one from the dealer. Worked great. Bought it. I finally could mow anywhere I wanted to go. I can mow across some pretty steep slopes. Also like it because it does have a low center of gravity and a wide wheel base. Have mowed with it now for two years with no problems what so ever. I think our lot is just short of 3/4 acre minus the house. I highly recommend the Cub Cadet zero turn with the steering wheel.
