If a guy scams me for thousands then I figure he's a scam artist. If he scams me for peanuts then I figure he's a real bum. Why not be up front with the whole thing, that always puzzles me. I bought an old Husqvarna motorbike from a guy once for a measly $400, it was actually running. When I took the flywheel cover off to check the timing I found out that someone had twisted off the flywheel/crankshaft nut, it was a left hand thread. When I took the motor over to a dealer the next week for him to look at it he told me the guy who sold it to me was in about two weeks before and had twisted that nut off himself. The flywheel was still on (tapered shaft) but he said it was dangerous and could have come off and potentially injured my leg. Crazy world, good luck with your project.
