sammy, I've been removing brush for past 13 years using a compact backhoe. Digging them out with hoe works for me especially when I want to remove brush near the lake. I'm afraid that using the front bucket may pull me into the lake.
I have wrapped a chain around small stuff and pulled it out with front bucket. Sometimes the chain works and sometimes the chain removes the bark and leaves everything behind.
I have chain hooks on front bucket. It would go faster if one person is on tractor and another wrapping chain. Use chain method for removing steel posts too. geo
