I just bought a really nice JD 7000 at an auction all no-till and liquid fertilizer 30 inch rows. I started pulling it home and did the usual check at about 1 mile down the road feeling the tires and hubs To make sure there not warm and the drive hub bearing is fried, and looking at it, I can see it was already fried when I bought it. So I found a church parking lot down the road and parked it. Plan is to just cut the shaft for quick removal and buy a rebuilt hub and new shaft, so I can pull it the rest of the way home. The shaft isnt expensive. Any advice before I go wrenching. Anybody replaced a drive hub before on a 7000?
