There are a whole lot of different implements and tools of different sizes and costs that call for different rates. I used to put up hay for a stable. I charged by the bale put in the barn. They had spent a lot of money to upgrade the fields and all was well for a few years until they stopped liming and fertilizing which was their responsibility. I finally switched over to an a hourly charge for the different parts of the job. Mowing and baling were, I believe at $70.00/hour while raking and tedding were at $50.00/hr. This was a few years ago.
