I Switched over 2 of my 01 series Fords, and 2 9Ns with the front mount distributor. After 10 plus years absolutely no regrets, especially on those front mount tractors. Smooth running and quick starting, even when left out in wet, cold weather.
I keep hearing how bad and low-quality the replacement points and condensers are now, but that isnt a problem for me.
Of course, I keep a spare distributor with traditional ignition components on-hand in case a pick-up or module fails, but so far none have.
