Because you didn't get around to too much for too long? Yeah, I'm guilty too.
Been working on my Ford 851d for a while. Went to change the fuel filter and the cut off valve on the tank was shot & the standpipe was broken. Pulled the sheet metal to change the valve and brushed against the radiator so it starts leaking. It already had ten pounds of solder holding it together. Put in the new valve, made a standpipe, and ordered a radiator.
Hmmn, good time to get the pump rebuilt so I box it up and send it to Rich. Hmmn, everything is off so it's a good time to rebushing the front axle. Tear it apart and find the support is cracked and the pin threads are shot. Found one & got that all rebuilt. Hmmn, good time to get around to the breather which is shot and nla. So now I'm in the process of fabricating a dry breather with absolutely no sheet metal fabricating experience so it's interesting to say the least. Pump is back so it can go on after I get the breather built.
Then there's the hydraulic pump rebuild and top cover kit that may or may not get installed. Those parts have been on the shelf for ten years now. Too many hmmn,s Lol

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
