If the twisted in two happened because there was a internal mechanical jamb, or there was already compressed hay thrown in, it will twist up a second shaft as well. A slip clutch or shear pin should limit drive torque to a safe level. If the issue is a bad drive line component, and there was no excessive load, just replacing it should not be difficult, The parts are probably not unique to a model, or are easily substituted for. Drive line companies can help find stock, or make what you need. Make sure the shear or slip clutch are working. A slip clutch that has not slipped for a year can be stuck and over torque easily. to fix requires taking it loose and oplishing rusty surfaces so they can slip. If a shear pin, putting a grade 8 bolt in place of a grade 5 can also do it. If the shaft was OK before it broke, look for the reason. Jim
