DaveBN, I have always used Quaker State 10 W 30 Oil since they stopped selling straight 30W. I bought the conventional 10W30 at Wall Mart. In my area at two different wall Marts they only sell 5 quart jugs in Synthetic oil. I don't want to use it in my older tractors. I did find some in 5 quart jugs at Home Depot. I thought that it was a strange place to buy motor oil but that's where I found it. Good Luck and maybe someone can tell me why synthetic oil stays clean for twice as long as conventional oil. Maybe I'm a skeptic.
