We have been converting everything to group 31 batteries. Fix bad cable ends and where possible use shorter runs and the tractors will start off a single one usually. Too expensive to have an 8D batteries sitting around going bad. Pretty cheap to switch to gear reduction starter too if needed.
Our tractors that aren't used in winter we haven't bothered with the double batteries. If we do need to start in winter the lithium boost box comes out to help. Also no shame in moving batteries between equipment that is being used, batteries last much longer in daily use than sitting months at a time. Even maintainers are not a substitute for regular use.
