Really depends how many lines / heads you want to run.... with in reason.
We have one we hooked up to our first cranberry field when we were waiting to get the electric hooked up. It was in good shape at the time. Had it on the MF 165 and it was all it could do to run 8 acres of solid set sprinklers 50x50 spacing 1/8 nozzle. It was wide open and we were lucky to get 40 lbs.
If its not worn and your only running 20-50 sprinklers it would be fine with a 40hp tractor.
The biggest problem is priming. We either piped in a 2 Honda trash pump to prime it or set a tank of water above it with a hose and tap to where the primer is. Makes life much easier. Grant.
