Tried left side battery box bolt hole and it was a blind hole. Then tried right side battery box bolt and it was an open hole at least on the newer of the 2 that I am trying to get lube into the steering box. This is a 1950 late as in side mount distributor.
Will not be doing anything to the early one till Thursday or Friday. The early one I don't know the year but it is a front mount distributor and it has a slotted pipe plug just below the battery box bolt on the right side. But I could not get the pipe plug out and it sure would be nice if the battery box bolt would also work to fill the steering box
