Thats a nice looking Oliver 6 bottom pipe plow..Large pipe ones are pretty rare in my area because most people back in those days only farmed 160-320 acres..I can remember that our local Oliver dealer only sold 2-3 new 1800's (no 1900's)before he went out of business...In 1964 a close neighbor bought a new 1850 Oliver gas with a 6 bottom square beam plow from the Oliver dealer at Rich Hill,MO....In 1965 it turned in to a new 1850 diesel with a 5 bottom plow..Before that they farmed about 800 acres with a Super 88 Oliver diesel and a 400 Case diesel..
The junkers in east Kansas pay huge prices for scrap at farm sales...You haul it to them and they wont give half as much.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
