During the time that I was working for the neighbor he got a brand shiny new MF 12. I was maybe 16 years old at the time. Soon after, it quit tying. We figured out that it was out of time. We worked on it for awhile, and I guess he must have gotten pretty frustrated with it, because after awhile he announced that it was time to go milk the cows. He asked me to see if I could fix it and left with his two sons. It had timing instructions silk screened to the inside of a cover, I studied them and went through it just as the instruction showed, and I guess in an hour or so I had it tying. IIRC it worked well for the following three years until the auction.
